Hastings
Hastings is a very famous coastal town in East Sussex on the south coast of England. It is known for the Battle of Hastings in 1066 and the subsequent conquest of England by the Normans. The exact location is actually a few miles away at Battle Abbey.
This is a popular tourist destination with a long shingle beach and a busy town centre. The sea still plays an important part here and Hastings has Europe's largest beach launched fishing fleet.
