New Forest

The New Forest is truly unique. The landscape is varied and spectacular and wild ponies and horses wander freely around the forest. This is an old and ancient forest. Cattle and horses have right of way here and wild deer can be seen off the beaten track.

The New Forest is an ideal place to spend a holiday and an alternative from the nearby coast. There are plenty of camp sites and places to stay and this is a true walkers paradise for those that are interested in getting back to nature or hiking.

There are a lot of attractions around the New Forest and it is the ideal location for a family holiday. Pony and horse trekking is popular, the National Motor Museum is situated at Beaulieu and has a massive collection of over 250 vehicles. The New Forest Museum at Lyndhurst is certainly worth a visit and deals with the forest's history and its human story.

If you want to forget about city life and just spend a relaxing time travelling through beautiful scenery and observe the wonders of nature then this is definately the place to go. If you find that you want something different then the sea is only a short distance away.
